Rhana Bazzini had pointed that out during a different meeting! Superintendent Connor works extremely hard and pushes his staff to the limit. I hope he isn't a clout-chaser and thinks that sneaking something like this through would score points in Tallahassee. That would be the very worse case scenario. I do believe in him. I think he CAN take Sarasota to the Number One district - but he needs to realize, it takes a village. If the community wants two meetings a month, he needs to figure out a way to make that happen.
Once again I owe you a bucket of thanks. As I've mentioned before I've painted myself into a corner by attending school board meetings since 2016 and only missing one. I'm expected to be there. Sort of like the bad penny. Although now that they're being made obsolete maybe that lets me off the hook. My point is my bad hearing makes me miss much of what's being said. Although some speakers could do with some pointers on how to use a mic and how to present. ;-) I can count on you to fill in the missing pieces. Thanks and be well!
That was Mary Ginley. She supplied a much needed laugh when she said she was old but not as old as Rhana Bazzini. At which point everyone laughed and looked at me, including the board. Mona Johnson was my "uber". It was a long night!
I certainly hope that BZ is able to make this statement and abide by it. The SCSB should AT least hold the board MEMBERS accountable to THIS level of inclusivity regardless of the overt attempt at state and federal levels to unconstitutionally, untruthfully, unscientifically erase our LGBTQ students.
So many of her words ring empty, just because her actions speak louder. I was surprised to hear her say at the April board meeting that the "pendulum has swung too far" with the FL legislation and it would swing back. Are we supposed to believe that from the person who thinks the attempt to dismantle the Fl Dept of Education is a good thing? Thank you, C for your comment and reading!
Thank you, Robin. I'm still gobsmacked by what happened to Superintendent Wysong in Manatee County. Kennedy's hypocrisy is shameful. Thank you for everything you do!
Interesting as a side note how Connor’s hair is very gray

Even when you're not there, you're there! A woman mentioned you in her speech. You are loved!
