I have no objection to having agreements with legitimate, accredited institutions of differing perspectives. My objection would be if there is not a balance of differing perspectives. I'm against banning in general whether of books or information.
Why now? NCF doesn't have an education program. No certification results from this. COLLEGE tuition is paid for course credits (our tax dollars) and the work is put on our SCSB staff (our tax dollars) and it results in NO movement towards certification! I'm all in on alt-cert and 'teach-to-learn', this is double dipping in tax payer funds (now GOP approved NCF) that produces, at best, PRIVATE SCHOOL temp. certs. Seems the only goal here is to INDOCTRINATE the SELECTED students and GROOM them to teach at STATE approved PRIVATE SCHOOLS (maybe even promise jobs). Other programs that collaborate have education programs that have this INTERSHIP/STUDENT TEACHING REQUIREMENT. Let's see the 'new improved NCF' meet NATIONAL and INTERNATIONAL accreditation requirements in all it's proposed new glory before agreeing to collaborate on upping the number of unqualified, inexperienced private school upstarts and providing staffing.
nb Don't count Rose out yet. I'm sure our gov. will use her loyalty well.
Will need to see those Biology and anatomy textbooks, too! Since Zeigler's factually incorrect "statement" about gender being immutable.
